Two weeks of hiking in the beautiful Valle Maira, June 2011. Valle Maira is an almost pristine alpine valley in the province of Piemonte (Italy), not far from to the french border. The Percorsi Occitani trail links most of the villages and combines an extraordinary scenery with gastronomical highlights in some of the Locandas. The definitely best guidebook of this region is "Antipasti und alte Wege" (Frischknecht, Rotpunkt Verlag, Zürich)
